Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care for acute care, skilled nursing care, emergency department, and outpatient services patients in accordance with the medical plan of care. Communicates findings as indicated to appropriate persons and documents same in the patient’s medical record. Develops and maintains collaborative and collegial relationships with physicians and interdepartmental personnel as they relate to the care of the patient.
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas. Basic Life Support certification from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider) successfully completed within the first 60 days of employment
Minimum specific certifications and competencies required within two years postdate of hire: ACLS and PALS (continued education/recertification offered at no cost to employee)
Familiarity with medical software and equipment.
Ability to build rapport with patients and their family.
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintaining a therapeutic atmosphere.
