Thirty-four golfers participated in the Hospital and Health Care Foundation's first annual golf tournament held in Lincoln June 30. The tournament was a two- person scramble and included golfers from Lincoln, Sylvan, Lucas, Manhattan and Salina.
The Foundation raised more than $3,800 to help with health care equipment in the county.
Pin prizes went to Vicky Jewell of Lincoln with the closest drive to the line on hole #1, Dean Thompson of Lincoln with the closest to the flag off the tee shot on hole #2, Jon Meyer of Lincoln with the closest to the flag in two shots on hole #3, Keith Davies with the longest putt on hole #4, Mike Weatherman from Sylvan Grove with the closest drive to the bird on hole #5, Kelly Shearer of Lincoln with the longest drive on hole #6, Bob Loveless of Lincoln with the closest to the flag off the tee shot on hole #7, Craig Shearer of Lincoln with the longest drive on hole #8, and Denise Ehrlich of Lincoln with the longest putt made on hole #9.
Winning the Championship Flight with a score of 54 was the team of Bob Loveless and Kourt Kobbeman. Second place went to Stephan Smith and Craig Shearer. Third place went to Denise Ehrlich and Mitch Kobbeman. All are from Lincoln.
Winning the First Flight with a score of 63 was the team of Brian Schoepf and Mike Weatherman, both of Sylvan Grove. Second place went to Jean Converse and Vicky Jewell of Lincoln. Third place went to Kerry and Kathy Jo Smith, also of Lincoln.
Ben Knight of Lincoln and Garrett Keith of Lucas won the Second Flight with a score of 66. Second place went to Mike Nelson and Warren Meitler of Sylvan Grove. Dean Thompson and Greg McNeil, both of Lincoln took third.
A score of 70 from Charade Loveless and Kelly Shearer took the Third Flight with second place going to Travis and Kathy Schwertdfager and third place going to Cody and Nikki Flinn, all of Lincoln.
