Free Land Program (Commercial)

Both Lincoln County and the City of Lincoln have commercial lots available to businesses that are looking to move in to the area or expand. There are several lots available, listed below, depending on the specific needs of the business.

  • Industrial Park (Developed) – Four lots are available and owned by the City of Lincoln. Three lots are 1.63 acres each (can be combined into one 4.89 acre lot) and one lot is 3.08 acres. All lots have utilities and are located just off of Highway 18 within the city limits. A business must present a plan to the City describing the type of business and investment being made, proposed construction plans, and number of jobs created. After a cost/benefits analysis is completed, the City will consider approving the lot(s) being deeded over to the business.
  • Commercial Lots (Undeveloped) – Approximately 35 acres of undeveloped land is owned by Lincoln County. The land is located at the junction of Highways 14 and 18 at the north edge Lincoln within the city limits. The land can be parceled into smaller lots or remain as one large property. A business must present a plan to the county describing the type of business and investment being made, proposed construction plans, and number of jobs created. After a cost/benefits analysis is completed, the County will consider approving the lot(s) being deeded over to the business. Due to the recently constructed Dollar General, who took advantage of the Free Land Program, there may be some restrictions in place on the type of use allowed on land immediately adjacent to the DG property.
