Lincoln is serving as a pit stop along this year’s Biking Across Kansas (BAK) tour route arriving on June 13th and departing June 14th. While the BAK is in Lincoln, local organizations and residents are organizing a day that will be hard for anyone to forget with live music, special food vendors, activities and entertainment. For a full schedule of events, visit: http://livelincolncounty.com/biking-across-kansas/.
BAK is an annual, eight-day event that attracts bicyclists from all over the country, introducing them to the beauty of rural Kansas and the hospitality found in the small towns and people they meet along the way. This year’s event, scheduled from June 10-17, begins at the Kansas/Colorado border west of Tribune. The tour, which will make its way from town to town, also features overnight stops in Tribune, Dighton, WaKeeney, Plainville, Lincoln, Chapman, Rossville and Tonganoxie.
