Computer Programmers

The Northwest Kansas Economic Innovation Center, Inc. (NWKEICI) is spearheading an initiative called “Rural & Remote” with the goal of connecting residents in Lincoln County and other northwest KS counties to job opportunities in the computer programming industry. The Rural & Remote initiative serves to both:

1) Connect skilled people who live in Lincoln County to businesses elsewhere in the country that are hiring programmers who will work remotely from their main offices – This would include one-to-one support in finding and applying for remote job opportunities.

2) Train people in Lincoln County for a career in computer programming and then linking them to businesses offering remote work – This would include individuals attending Nspire Labs Coding Academy, an online academy resulting in students receiving a full stack web development ruby certification.  After successfully completing the academy, there would be one-to-one assistance in finding and applying for jobs. A person can attend the academy as either a part-time or full-time student. Grant funding or financing may be available to help with tuition; however, you MUST live in Lincoln County or another northwest KS county to be eligible for the assistance.

If you currently have a career in, or are interested in having a career in, computer programming, please contact the Lincoln County Economic Development Foundation (LCEDF) for more information.

***Please note, this posting is not regarding a specific existing job opening but rather promoting the Rural & Remote initiative with the goal of connecting people to remote-work opportunities.
