Business Assistance Opportunities Available November-January

The Lincoln County Economic Development Foundation (LCEDF) has two new opportunities available to provide support to new and existing business owners.  These opportunities are only available over the next several months:

#1: Free Consultations with a Small Business Expert

The LCEDF is bringing Linda Sutton, a small business expert with LRS Consulting, to Lincoln County on Wednesday, December 13th, 2017, in order to provide free consulting services to ten (10) local businesses that are looking to start-up, expand, transition or have identified a particular need.

The one-hour appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be scheduled through the LCEDF office.  No walk-ins allowed at this time.  Depending on the needs of the business, some follow-up by the expert will also be provided at no-cost.  All information discussed is strictly confidential between the business owner, expert and the LCEDF director.

#2: Scholarships for Destination Business BootCamp & Community Reinvention Program

Destination Bootcamp opportunity with Jon SchallertThe LCEDF is participating in a Community Reinvention Program by offering scholarships to six (6) local businesses to attend Destination Business BootCamp (DBC), a 2-1/2 day intensive training in Longmont, CO, on January 23-25, 2018.

The DBC is ideal for business owners who want to develop marketing strategies to become a dominant “Destination Business” preferred by customers in order to generate more sales and customer traffic to both their business and community.  The DBC is taught by internationally-recognized business expert Jon Schallert who developed the 14-step destination strategy.

As part of the Community Reinvention Program, business owners will also receive ongoing consulting services for four months following the DBC, and Jon Schallert will visit Lincoln County to hold a workshop that will be open to all businesses and the public.

For the full description and details on the DBC, please see the information below or contact the LCEDF.  A workshop with Jon Schallert will be held in Belleville, KS on November 30th at 8 am for those who want to learn more about the DBC.
